As New Hope Community celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025, we reflect on a remarkable journey of empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Founded in August 1975 as New Hope Rehabilitation Center on the 44-acre former Green Acres Hotel grounds, the organization opened its doors on December 7, 1975, with a staff of ten serving 17 adults.
