Who Are the New Hope Knights?
The New Hope Knights are a dynamic team of athletes at New Hope Community who compete in various sports, including bocce ball, basketball, golf, equestrian, and so much more. Representing the best of our community’s spirit, the Knights provide people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to grow through sports, build lifelong friendships, and achieve their personal best.

As part of New Hope Community’s commitment to enriching the lives of those we support, the New Hope Knights participate in Special Olympics New York, community tournaments, and other community-based sporting events.

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: Rob’s Story
Rob, one of our Special Olympics football stars, had always dreamed of scoring a touchdown. With the support of his teammates and coaches, Rob’s dream came true at the Buffalo Bowl, where he threw the winning pass to Noah in the final seconds of the game. This incredible moment wasn’t just about football—it was a testament to the perseverance, teamwork, and spirit that defines the New Hope Knights.

 

 

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: Kenny’s Story
Kenny, an avid golfer, has been a part of the New Hope Knights golf team for years. He’s overcome physical challenges and found his passion on the green, where he recently won a silver medal at a state-level tournament. For Kenny, golf is more than just a sport—it’s a way to grow, make friends, and show the world what he’s capable of.
